ITAR is owned and operated by Wes Whitworth and a dedicated team committed to environmental stewardship and sustainable IT asset recycling. Further to reducing waste and giving IT assets a second life, the second stage of our Social Enterprise is in returning the assets to community organisations to then be given to those most in need within our community, based on those organisations guidelines.
Environmental Consciousness
With Wes and the team growing up and living in the Hunter Valley, we understand the impact of waste on our environment. With the rapid evolution of Information Technology, managing e-waste has become crucial in our online-driven society, both in business and personal contexts.
Social Consciousness
Beyond Reuse, Refurbishment, and Recycling, the second stage of our Social Enterprise is in returning all of the salvageable IT assets to local community organisations to be given to those less fortunate in our community. This is done at an absolute bare minimum of cost to the community organisations.
Zero Landfill Policy
We are proud to state that nothing from our e-waste cages and bins ends up in landfill. Every component, from plastic, glass, and metal to circuit boards, ICs, RAM sticks, and CPUs, undergoes recycling, refurbishment, or reuse.
Expertise and Experience
Wes and the team have over ten years of experience in the e-waste industry, leading teams in sorting, dismantling, and recycling various electronic devices. This also includes refurbishing and testing all IT equipment and components.
Local Commitment
Our staff, sourced from local non-profit unemployment agencies, undergo training to deliver world-class outcomes. We handle all aspects of the Triple-Rs in-house, sending only base components for further processing after dismantling.
Customer Engagement
Wes and the team are available at your convenience to discuss your IT asset recycling needs, aiding in reducing our collective impact on the environment.
