Responsible IT Asset Recycling
Your trusted partner in sustainable and ethical e-waste recycling
A FREE Service
Socially
Responsible
We take component parts from e-waste and use them to build affordable, reliable IT products for the disadvantaged, providing a tangible benefit to those less fortunate by partnering with local NGOs.
Environmentally
Sound
Unlike most e-waste service providers, we don’t ship our e-waste overseas. What can’t be repurposed is broken down into component parts and then recycled here in Australia, with a zero land-fill policy.
Security
Conscious
We know that privacy and security matter. We can securely transport and sanitise storage devices to NIST800-88 / DoD5220.22-M industry standards, with certification and auditing paperwork.
How we work
We Pickup your e-waste
We can provide bins for your waste which we pickup when full, or you can drop off to us.
We break down into component parts
We break items down into component parts, sanitising storage devices in accordance with the highest security standards.
Where we can we upcycle
Parts that are salvagable are upcycled to make reliable IT products for the less fortunate.
Everything else is recycled
Anything else is recycled, right here in Australia.
Better for the Environment
Most of the e-waste generated in Australia is actually shipped overseas for processing, to places like China and Africa. Here at ITAR, we dismantle all e-waste into component parts locally in the Hunter Valley, and then recycle it here in Australia, for better environmental outcomes.
A Better Social Outcome
While e-waste items may have reached the end of their life and are not economical to repair or sell, many of their component parts are still useful. At ITAR, as we dismantle e-waste for recycling, we identify quality components that are still useful and then upcycle them into reliable IT products for use by those less fortunate. We partner with a number of local NGO’s and charities to help ensure that these items get into the hands of those that need them the most.
But I have a managed services provider?
Great! There is no conflict because they don’t really care about e-waste – that is any items that are at the end of their service life, or uneconomical to repair. Most of the time they will put these items into waste, which means you pay for the recycling. Not with ITAR though! We take the e-waste for FREE and repurpose or recycle it
Our mission is to bridge the digital divide, advancing digital equity and empowering those marginalised from education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. Simultaneously, we strive to close the loop in our circular economy, ethically preserving non-renewable resources from being discarded into the earth.
